Basic troubleshooting is a list of steps we take to resolve sign-in issues and browser errors. Try them out for yourself; it's like having one of our very own technicians right there with you!Expand/Collapse All Browser Issues NOTE Before proceeding with browser troubleshooting, ensure you are using a compatible device and that all required fields within the website or form have been completed. Missing information or unsupported devices can often prevent actions from being completed successfully. If you are unable to complete a site action, Allow Pop-ups on GCU sites Clear your cache and cookies Try accessing the page using a private/incognito window Update Your browser or try a different browser Remove add-ons and extensions If you are using a public or company-managed device, check with your network administrator about firewall restrictions Reset your browser to default settings Test another device if available Sign-in Issues NOTE Depending on the GCU website you are signing into, you may either use your GCU email address (username@my.gcu.edu) or just your GCU username. Make sure your Caps Lock key is off Check your Saved Passwords to confirm your information Reset your password For Halo sign-in errors, try accessing your class through the GCU Portal Software Issues Check for program updates Check for Windows/Mac operating system updates Restart your computer Repair program via the Window's Control Panel Uninstall and reinstall the program Internet Issues NOTE Troubleshooting internet issues falls outside of GCU Technical Support’s scope of service, but we can provide some basic troubleshooting steps that may resolve the issue. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact your Internet Service Provider for assistance with advanced troubleshooting. Make sure the computer is connected to a Wi-Fi or local network Troubleshoot your Internet Connection Test an alternate network if available (if you have a mobile data plan, try turning off Wi-Fi) Reboot your device NOTE Although basic troubleshooting may resolve most browser or sign-in issues, restarting your computer can help the changes go into effect.
