Copy and paste is a useful computer command that can save time and help you transfer text and images to and from documents. Browser Specific Steps Disabling Microsoft Edge’s Title Copy and Paste Feature Microsoft Edge has updated its copy and paste feature to paste the title of a webpage as a hyperlink rather than its URL directly. See the following steps to change the settings to paste direct URLs: Select the three horizontal dots in the upper right corner of Edge. Select Settings. On the left side menu, select Share, copy, and paste. Under URL copy & paste format default select Plain text. Halo FAQ How do I paste as plain text? When pasting in Halo, your text will keep the same formatting it had from wherever you copied it. Text size, coloring, and styling are all types of formatting that can be transferred to Halo. If you would like to paste without this formatting, you can select the paste as plain text option on the right-click menu; otherwise, you can use CTRL+SHIFT+V, or CMD+OPTION+Shift+V if you’re on a Mac. If you want to always paste as plain text, you can enable the Paste as Text option on Halo’s textbox to always paste without formatting. NOTE: If you don’t see the Paste as Text option, it could be hidden under More… Click on the 3 dots on the text box to show additional options. How do I clear my formatting? If you already have your text pasted but your text has formatting that you don’t want, you can clear the formatting with Halo’s text box. First, highlight the text whose formatting you want removed. After your text has been highlighted, click the Clear Formatting option on Halo’s text box. My right-click isn’t working If you right-click on Halo’s text box and nothing happens, you can work around this by pasting your text with keyboard shortcuts.
