The Alerts settings are currently only available to students and faculty who are part of a beta testing group. If you're not in the beta group, you won't see these settings in your account.
The Alerts feature in Halo helps you stay up to date with important notifications about your courses. You can view and manage these notifications by clicking the Alerts bell icon located in the top right corner of your Halo page.
This will open the My Alerts sidebar panel, where all notifications related to your courses are displayed in one place.
Clicking on any notification will take you directly to the relevant content.
Here’s what you can do in the alert window:
- You can switch between List and Class views to group the notifications.
- You can clear all your alerts by clicking on the two-checkmark icon.
- You can filter your alerts by New and Read.
To customize your panel, click the three dots in the top right corner. From there, you can turn on the Always Display option under Alert Card, which lets you always access options to clear and delete alerts. You can also go to the Manage Alerts page to adjust your alert settings and choose your default view between List and Class views.
If you cannot see your recent notifications, try refreshing the panel by clicking the refresh icon.
