There are several accessibility features that are available for use within the Halo | Learn platform. These features are accessible through the third-party feature, UserWay. These options are accessible by selecting the UserWay icon in the top-right of the Halo classroom. You can also open UserWay with CTRL + U on your keyboard.
Using this feature provides you with a variety of different options that will affect the visual aspects of the classroom. You can adjust options such as text size, contrast options, cursor options, and more. Some options may have more than one option and will need to be clicked multiple times to cycle through them. These affects will all stack and can be reset to the default settings by clicking Reset All Accessibility Settings.
FAQ
Expanding the accessibility profiles will display specific profiles that automatically choose a predetermined set of accessibility features that are common for users. Once a profile is selected, the options can still be edited to fit user needs.
Beneath the accessibility options is the Move/Hide Widget dropdown menu. From here, you can choose which side the widget will appear on or choose to hide it entirely. If you select the Hide option, you can scroll down further to select how long you would like to hide the widget for. Once you’ve selected your desired hide time, select Hide Widget to hide it.
If you would like to unhide UserWay, you can press CTRL + U on your keyboard to reveal the UserWay menu.
If you run into any accessibility issues when using the UserWay system and would like to report the issues, scroll to the very bottom of the accessibility menu and click Report a Problem. From here, you can describe your accessibility problem and enter your email address for a follow up.
