While using the Halo Learn classroom, you can personalize your experience by updating different settings, including those related to your user profile. The My Halo Settings section is currently being developed by GCU and will soon include more features like notification preferences and gradebook view settings. However, at this time, the only available feature is the Profile Settings.
Accessing My Halo Settings
- To access My Halo Settings, click your name in the top right corner of the screen.
- From the dropdown menu, select My Halo Settings.
- Once you’re in the My Halo Settings page, you can view the available settings.

Your Halo Learn profile appears whenever someone clicks your profile picture in the classroom. The profile is where you can introduce yourself to others in the Halo classroom by sharing information about yourself.
- To access the profile settings, click Go To Profile from the My Halo Settings page.
- Now that you are in the profile settings, you can edit the settings of the profile. To edit your profile, click the Edit button in the top right corner. IMPORTANT When editing the profile, the information that you add should adhere to GCU’s ethical, professional, and academic standards. Inappropriate content or profile images that disrupt the learning experience will be addressed according to the University Policy Handbook’s Code of Conduct and Standards section.
- Next, you can edit the Halo Preferred First Name, LinkedIn URL, Program of Study, and the About Me. Once you update your information, press Save to save the profile information.NOTE If you are a faculty member, you can only edit the About Me section of your profile from your Halo Learn classroom. If you need to adjust any other part of your profile, you will need to update the Faculty Profile and wait about 10 to 15 minutes to sync your changes.

If you are an instructor that noticed there is information that violates GCU Code of Conduct, it is recommended that you submit a Code of Conduct alert.
