It is generally recommended that students and faculty access their courses through the GCU Portal, as the portal will always direct to the appropriate link for your specific course. However, there may be times in which the GCU Portal is temporarily inaccessible due to scheduled maintenance or service interruption. During this time, your LMS classroom can still be accessed by logging in directly.
Depending on the course level and degree program you are seeking, your class will be located in one of the following links:
- Online Undergraduate Courses
All online undergraduate courses are located in the LoudCloud system. This link is intended for use when trying to access online undergraduate courses (course level up to 499):
- Online Graduate / Doctoral Courses
The majority of graduate and doctoral level courses (course level between 500-999) take place in the Halo | Learn system. To access Halo | Learn, see the following link:
If you are a graduate or doctoral student who is still finishing up a course in the old LMS, LoudCloud, see the following link:
- Traditional / Campus Courses
All traditional campus courses are located in the Halo | Learn system. This link is intended for use when trying to access undergraduate courses that take place on GCU's physical campus (traditional classes with course level up to 499):
- High School Cohort Courses
This link is intended for use when trying to access high school courses from schools that are partnered with GCU. If you aren't sure whether you fall into this category, see the following article: Classes Hosted in LMS for Non-GCU Students and Faculty.
When logging into the LMS directly, you will be taken to a homepage instead of a specific class. For more information on the LMS homepage in LoudCloud and how to navigate it, see (LMS) Modifying Your Homepage. If you utilize the Halo | Learn LMS, there are no settings that can be modified on the homepage.
