(Halo | Learn) Viewing Your Rubrics

Some assignments provide a rubric to show how the assignment is going to be graded. Review the information for Halo | Learn and follow the instructions to view and access your rubric.

NOTE Not all assignments will provide a rubric. Some instructors may provide their own rubric for assignments. If you have any questions about the rubric for an assignment, please reach out to the instructor.

Accessing Your Rubric

  1. To access your rubric, first access the assignment you want to view the rubric for. Once you have accessed the assignment, you should see Rubric on the left-hand side of the page under Assessment Details.
  2. From here, you may click on each individual rubric category for more information on how the assignment is graded. Additionally, you can press the Expand All button to open all of the categories at once.

Viewing Your Instructor’s Comments on a Rubric

  1. Once your assignment has been graded, your instructor may leave feedback on the rubric.

    There are two ways to access your graded rubric in Halo.

    You can select the assignment from the weekly calendar on the Dashboard and press the View Feedback button.

    Alternatively, if you navigate to the gradebook, you can select View Feedback on the assignment. Both methods will bring you to the same page to view rubric comments and instructor feedback.

  2. Once you reach the review feedback page, you will see your grade and the instructor comments. You can expand the different rubric categories for more information.

Saving Your PDF Rubric

  1. Open the assignment details to view the rubric. Click on the blue printer icon next to the Rubric Criteria.
  2. Click the blue Print to PDF button.
  3. When the printer settings box appears, locate the printer. In the drop-box under printer, select the Save as PDF option. Once selected, you can click the save button to save as a PDF to your computer.

Printing Your PDF Rubric

  1. Open the assignment details to view the rubric. Click on the blue printer icon next to the Rubric Criteria.
  2. Click the blue Print to PDF button.
  3. When the printer settings box appears, locate the printer. In the drop-box under printer, select your preferred printer. Once selected, you can click the blue Print icon to print your rubric.
