The requirements for submitting an overdue assignment or quiz will vary depending on if the course end date has passed.
In all LMS platforms, students can submit an overdue assignment or quiz without it needing to be reassigned, as long as it has not been graded. Once an assignment or quiz has been graded, it will need to be reassigned by the instructor for the student to be able to make a submission.
If an instructor reassigns an overdue assignment and the new due date that they set expires, the student cannot make any additional submissions. In order to re-open the assignment drop box, the assignment would need to be reassigned a second time.
If you have accommodations...
Only students who have accommodations may submit an assignment after the course end date. Once the assignment or quiz end date has passed, they will no longer be able to make a submission.
Example: If 05/07/2019 is the end date of the class, and an assignment began on 05/01/2019 and is accommodated for two weeks, an accommodated student could still submit that assignment up until 05/14/2019. The due date in LoudCloud will reflect the correct due date for the accommodated student.
If you don't have accommodations...
Students who do not have accommodations will not be able to submit assignments after the course end date unless the instructor agrees to reassign the assignment/quiz. This can only be done up to two weeks after the course ends, however. Instructors may still accept student assignments via email if that is their preference, but it is completely up to their discretion.
