The Individual Reflection Journal (IRJ) helps students reflect on their doctoral program. The IRJ is a tool to allow learners to respond to questions and track their progress during their doctoral research. After completing questions, students will be expected to submit a PDF copy to their assignment. This article will walk through accessing and using the journal.Expand/Collapse All Accessing the Journal To access the IRJ, start by clicking the link in your classroom. If you are prompted to sign in, go ahead and select Student Access. Enter your GCU email and password. Once logged in, you will be directed to the IRJ dashboard. Using the Journal Once you are signed into the IRJ, you will be on the dashboard with your active courses. The following steps will walk you through using the IRJ to track your responses and get a PDF for your assignment. From the dashboard, select Open Journal. After you open the journal, you will see the questions for each week. Keep in mind that the weeks that appear will vary based off the requirement of the course. After completing the questions, you will need to print the questions as a PDF. You can print from either a specific course or print all of the courses at once. Follow the steps below to select how you want to export the journal. Printing from the Course While in the specific journal for the course, you can select the Print button in the top right corner. From the Export window, select, the journals that you would like to export and then select Export. Printing from the Dashboard Printing from the dashboard, will allow you to export multiple courses. Select the Export All option from the top right corner of the dashboard. In the export window, you can select All Classes or Select Classes to select specific classes to export. Once you have the classes that you would like to export, select the Export button. Once you select your export options, you will be prompted with a preview window of what you are exporting. Click Save as PDF to continue. You will be prompted to select a save location and then you will be able to upload to Halo for credit on the assignment. FAQ Why am I not seeing my class after logging in? After logging into the IRJ, you will see any active classes that use the IRJ.
