The Ignite Activity Tool is a learning application that is designed to provide interactive and engaging activities within your online classroom. To help ensure that you can complete your assignments and the activities in Ignite, we have created this article to walk through using the tool and troubleshooting any problems you may experience. Accessing Ignite Ignite is a resource that is available through your Halo | Learn online classroom. To access a resource that uses Ignite: Navigate to your syllabus. Select an Ignite resource. You will be directed to ignite.gcu.edu and automatically signed in. NOTE Only access Ignite through your classroom. Using a bookmark or direct link can cause submission and grading issues. Expand/Collapse All Errors No Systudent ID Found Error This error happens because the Ignite system cannot find you for that class. This happens when you are added to the class that day. Ignite checks for any updates every night and you should have access in the next day. If you still do not have access to the class resource through Ignite after 24 hours, contact GCU Technical Support so that we can escalate this to be looked into further. Unsubmitted Quiz Detected Sometimes you might receive the error “Unsubmitted Quiz Detected”. If you receive this error, this means that there are activities on the resource that has not been completed. If you click OK you will be directed to incomplete resource. Once you have completed all the activities on the resource, you will be able to submit the Ignite resource. Refused to Connect Sometimes a resource may experience an issue with loading the content. When a resource has a problem loading, you will see the message that the resource refused to connect. When you receive this error, contact GCU Technical Support so that we can escalate this to be looked into further. Logged in as Guest If the Ignite resource contains activity made by GCU like Flashcards, Sequences, or the Test Application Platform and you see that it says Guest User in the top right corner, the resource won’t work properly.
