With the introduction of AI to the classroom, GCU has a list of policies and expectations for using AI resources. We recommend checking the AI Resource Center for detailed information about GCU’s policies on the usage of AI in the classroom. Here are a few things that you should keep in mind when using AI resources in the classroom:
- This tool is intended to brainstorm ideas as suggestions to help spark your own original thinking.
- This tool also helps explain terminology or explain a difficult concept to expand your knowledge.
- You should ask clarifying questions that you might ask a tutor.
- Give credit to the AI tools used when using AI to support your learning and assignment.
- Critically evaluate responses and check sources cited.
- Follow the AI safety guidelines that GCU has on the Student Success Center.
When using the AI resources, if you are ever unsure about the use of AI in your classroom, reach out to your instructor. Also, these AI resources are not to replace your instructor or available tutoring services that GCU has to offer, but to support your learning and enhance your knowledge.
