The Grand Canyon University mobile student application will help campus (traditional) students throughout the day, from getting to your class on time to picking a place to have lunch. To download the free mobile application, visit the Google Play or App Store and search for GCU Student. Follow the instructions below to login and access the app on your iPhone or Android device.
Once the app has finished downloading, open the app and select Login.
You will be prompted to sign in with your GCU email address, which is your [email protected]
Once the username has been entered, a new page may open asking if you would like to use an account assigned by your work or school, or a personal account.
If prompted, select Work or school account.
Finally, enter your GCU password and click Sign In.
If you are unable to login with your current GCU password, try Resetting your Password. Even if you reset your password to the current password, it will help synchronize your account to the GCU Student App, and should allow you access.
Select the Menu icon in the top left-hand corner to view additional options such as:
- Class Schedule
- Card Accounts
- Student ID
The Me section will provide you access to the following information:
- Student Number
- Degree Program
- Advisor(s) Name(s)
The Class Schedule section will bring up your schedule by semester. Selecting the desired semester will display the classes you have attended or will be attending during that particular semester.
Selecting a specific class will bring up the following information about that class:
- Course Title (scheduled, completed)
- Status of the Course
- Delivery Method (online, on-ground)
- Start and End Dates
- Meeting Times
The Card Accounts tab will display your current Dining Dollars and Lopes Cash balance. You can click Budget to see your budget for the current semester. By clicking Transactions, you can view your recent transactions that drew from your semester balance in the last 30 days.
The Food section will display a list of dining locations around campus.
By selecting an option, you will be shown a description of the restaurant along with its hours of operation. You can also find the restaurant's location on the campus map. Select Open Map for a larger view.
The Map section will display a list of locations around the GCU campus. These locations are organized alphabetically from A to Z and can be scrolled through. Alternatively, there is a search bar available at the top of the screen.
Selecting a building displays its location on the campus map.
You will have three options for how you want the map to be displayed:
Use the (+) or (-) symbols in the lower right corner to zoom in or out.
The Grades section will display your total cumulative GPA at the top of the screen, followed by a list of previously attended terms.
By selecting one of the terms, you will see a list of classes taken during the selected term. Below each class you can find both the midterm and final grades you received. If a class has not reached the point of a midterm or final, these fields will be blank for the time being.
The Statements tab will display your financial information. You will see your current balance at the top of the screen and a list of semesters you can view. Selecting a semester will highlight financial invoices that have been posted to your account during that particular semester.
The Student ID tab will display a digital version of your Student ID card.
The Chapel section will display the schedule of chapel services at GCU and will also display which ones you have attended.
If you are not connected to any sort of network (for example, when airplane mode is turned on), you will receive the following error message:
To fix this, you will need to connect to the Internet, whether it is via Wi-Fi, service provider (3g/4g), etc.
