A pop-up blocker is a feature in browsers that limits or blocks pop-ups from websites. This can block you from accessing links such as eBooks or the Email link inside of the GCU Portal. We suggest adding our websites to the list of sites to accept pop-ups from. Here is a guide on how to add them to each browser!Expand/Collapse All Microsoft Edge With Microsoft Edge open, click on the Settings and more (• • •) button in the top right corner of the browser window. Select Settings. Once the Settings tab opens, click on Privacy, search, and services on the left-hand side. Select the Site permissions option. Next, select All permissions to adjust the permissions across all sites. Select Pop-ups and redirects. Next, select the Add site option. In the Add a site dialog, type [*.]gcu.edu and click Add. The asterisk (*) before gcu.edu will allow all GCU sites without needing to individually add them. After you are finished, restart Edge. Microsoft Edge Legacy NOTE Microsoft Edge Legacy does not allow you to create pop-up blocker exceptions for individual websites. However, the pop-up blocker can be disabled altogether. Click the menu (• • •) button in the top right corner of the browser window. Click Settings. Locate View advanced settings at the bottom of the Settings menu. Switch the slider for Block pop-ups to Off. After you are finished, restart Edge.
