Towards the end of a course, semester, or program, students can find confidential surveys in the GCU Portal that allow them to voice their comments about their experience at Grand Canyon University. Obtaining this student feedback is important to GCU as it allows the University to gather data that can be used to implement improvement actions, enhance student experience, and ultimately increase the value of a GCU degree.
End of Course Survey
The End of Course Survey will be available in the GCU Portal starting the last week of a course for online students, and starting the second to last week for traditional students. It will be available for 7 days after the course end date. An option for the survey will appear in the “My Courses” section once it is available. To take the survey, click Your Class Code under My Surveys.
Alternatively, you will be prompted to complete the End of Course Survey during the final week (or final two weeks for traditional students) of your course by clicking on the button to access your Halo classroom. A pop-up window will appear asking you to Go to Survey or Remind Me Later. If you are not ready to take the survey, click the Remind Me Later option. After 30 minutes have passed, the notification will re-appear if you haven’t completed the survey yet.
End of Semester Services Survey
At the end of each semester, traditional students will also receive a short End of Semester Services Survey. This survey will include questions asking about your student services counselor (SSC) and, if applicable, your field experience counselor (FEC). You can access the survey in the same way you can access other surveys by viewing the My Surveys section of your Student Portal.
End of Program Survey
Towards the end of your degree program, you will be asked to complete an End of Program Survey. For online students, this survey will appear in the GCU Portal when there are four or fewer credit hours left to be completed. For traditional students, the survey will appear in the GCU Portal when there are 16 or fewer credit hours to be completed. The survey will be available until the student reaches a graduated status.
These surveys are completely confidential and voluntary. We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback on how we're doing!
Readministering Surveys
Unfortunately, there is no way for you to get any surveys prompted in the GCU Portal readministered. If you were unable to complete the survey, but you feel that you have important information to share to the university, you can email that feedback directly to GCUAssessment@gcu.edu.
However, if you do not see an option to take a survey you haven’t completed yet and it is within the applicable time range for that survey, then you can contact GCU Technical Support to escalate the issue.
