Firewalls are a security measure to track, log, allow, or disallow Internet traffic. They are intended to protect your computer and information from harmful items such as viruses, hackers, and malware. Unfortunately, firewalls can occasionally create difficulties when trying to access GCU sites.

In the past, some library links were blocked by firewalls due to port access not being allowed. The library has updated this system and links should no longer be blocked by firewalls. If a link is being blocked, check the link to determine if it uses port 2048 or 2443; if it does, please contact your instructor for an alternate link. Please contact us so that we can escalate the issue and inform the Library of the issue.
