The purpose of this tutorial is to provide a step-by-step process for learners to successfully submit dissertation deliverables to LopesWrite. If you are not completing your dissertation or have additional questions about LopesWrite, check out the article LopesWrite.
Dissertation learners can use the following process to successfully submit both the assignment document for chair/committee feedback, as well as a version of the assignment for a LopesWrite similarity score.

Save the full assignment file first by selecting File in the top-left corner then Save As. A proper naming convention is always recommended for your Dissertation Deliverables. Make sure to check with your chair on their preferred convention.
NOTE: It is always recommended to submit deliverables on the full dissertation template, even if only a portion (such as an individual chapter) will be reviewed and graded by your chair. - To save a portion of your dissertation copy and paste to a blank document only the part that needs to be reviewed by LopesWrite.

After pasting, save that portion as a separate file. Make sure to name this file to clearly indicate it is for LopesWrite review using your chairs preferred convention.
NOTE: If more than one chapter needs to be reviewed, save a separate file for each chapter to reduce the file size. -
Upload the full assignment and the LopesWrite files to your assignment submission box in the Halo online classroom by selecting Upload Files. For more information about submitting assignments to Halo, check out the article (Halo | Learn) Submitting Assignments.

After selecting Upload files, select all the files you wish to upload.
NOTE: You can select more than one at a time by holding the CTRL key and clicking on each file that you want to upload. - Once the selected files are uploaded, select Send for Report.
NOTE: Once a report has been generated for the selected files, they cannot be deleted from the Working Files tab on the submission page. They can be placed in the Archived Files tab using the Archive icon on the right-hand side of the uploaded document.
- Once the report is generated, select Review & Submit to submit the files to your chair.

Your dissertation chair will review the files that were labeled for LopesWrite to check for similarity concerns. Written feedback will not be sent back through LopesWrite. Your dissertation chair will instead send any written feedback with the main submission file to maintain version control.
