The login process can vary slightly between websites, but most use the same username and password. The commonly used faculty websites are listed below along with the login information used for each.
You can access the Faculty Portal by navigating to gcuportal.gcu.edu and selecting Faculty Access. Then, select Sign In from the landing page.
A Microsoft sign in page will appear on another tab which asks you to either select an account or enter your GCU email. Select your account (if it's already listed) or enter your GCU email and password. Full-time faculty emails end in @gcu.edu, while adjunct faculty emails end in @my.gcu.edu.
It’s best to always log into the Faculty Portal and click on the link for the class you are teaching, rather than logging into the LMS directly.
To log into Halo | Learn, enter your GCU email address (usually first.lastname@gcu.edu or first.lastname@my.gcu.edu) and password.
If you’re attempting to access a faculty training course, we recommended accessing it through the Faculty Portal. After logging in to the Faculty Portal, select the Training tab at the top of the page. This will provide access to any training courses for which you are on the roster. If you are unable to log into a faculty training course, we recommend reaching out to your Faculty Scheduler to confirm that you were added correctly.
To log into the DC Network, enter your GCU username and password.
The Doctoral Portal can be accessed directly via dissertation.gcu.edu. Most often, however, you will receive an email with a link to the site in order to approve a dissertation stage.
The login steps differ depending on whether you are an internal or external committee member. Internal members have @gcu.edu or @my.gcu.edu email addresses, while external members will use a personal email.
If you are an external committee member who is accessing the Doctoral Portal for the first time, you will first need to register your account. Contact Faculty Technical Support (602-639-7201) for assistance with this process if needed.
As an adjunct faculty, you can access your email through the Faculty Portal or directly at outlook.office.com. To log into your email, enter your GCU email (@my.gcu.edu) and password.
As a full-time faculty, you can access your email through the Outlook application on your GCU issued computer, through the Faculty Portal, or directly at outlook.office.com. To log into your email, enter your GCU email (@gcu.edu) and password. If you experience any issues with accessing your email, contact Help Desk.
ThunderTime is the preceptor side of the Lopes Activity Tracker. Preceptors can access the site through Thundertime.gcu.edu. Your login information is your GCU email (@my.gcu.edu) and password. Some preceptors may have a differently formatted email address. Instead of the typical Firstname.Lastname@my.gcu.edu format, their email will be formatted as p.firstname.lastname@my.gcu.edu. If you’re having trouble accessing your account, you can reset your password through the Microsoft reset link or contact Faculty Technical Support for assistance.
If you attempt to reset your password using the Microsoft reset, be sure to setup your recovery options. For information on setting up your recovery options and resetting your password, navigate to the article Password Reset Process.
The Legacy Faculty Portal can be accessed at gculegacyportal.gcu.edu. A new version of the Faculty Portal was released in 2021, and the old one is now referred to as “Legacy”. The Legacy Faculty Portal is still utilized occasionally for submitting midterm and final grades when submission through the LMS is not possible. Your login information for the Legacy Faculty Portal is your GCU username followed by @gcu.edu. Even if your email address ends in @my.gcu.edu, all faculty must use @gcu.edu when logging into the Legacy Faculty Portal.
