Make sure to fill out the Health Pass on the GCU Engage App before entering campus. Public Safety will be checking your health pass when you first get to campus, as well as if you walk to and from the new College of Business building. For more information on how to fill out your Health Pass, refer to the “Health Pass” section in the “Home” tab below.
The GCU Engage App creates a co-curricular transcript for you to show potential employers a record of your community service and leadership experiences. To download the free mobile application, visit the Google Play or App Store and search for GCU Engage. Follow the instructions below to login and access the app on your iPhone or Android device.
Logging into the GCU Engage App
Once the app has finished downloading, open the app. You may receive a message that states “This app is produced by Involvio.” Select Accept & Continue.
Select Next.
You will be prompted to select your Role.
Roles
Setup Your Profile
After you log in, you may receive a message that states “Welcome Lopes! We are currently working on including more content for you!” Select Next to continue.
Now you that you have completed your account setup, you will begin updating your profile. Click on Setup Your Profile to begin.
When setting up your profile most of the information will be generated automatically. Once you have finished updating your profile, click Save & Continue.
On the next screen, you will be asked to participate in a small questionnaire. Once you have finished the questionnaire, click Submit.
Login Issues
If you are unable to login to the GCU Engage app, you can reset your password using the instructions on our Password Reset Process article.
Using GCU Engage
Now you have successfully created your account with GCU Engage. The landing page will allow you to access your Home, Community, Search, Agenda, and Resources.
The Home page for the GCU Engage app is the dashboard. Within the dashboard you can access your Health Pass, COVID-19 Exposure Notifications, Upcoming Events, and Notifications.
Health Pass
To receive your health pass, select Health Pass and fill out a short questionnaire. Once you finish filling out the questionnaire, click Submit. You will receive your health pass in your email inbox.
COVID-19 Exposure Notifications
When a person tests positive for COVID-19 on campus, they submit a positive test result. Once the test result is verified, the app uses various data sources including WiFi location, course enrollment, and event attendance data to notify others who may have been exposed to COVID-19. When notifying others, personal information is not exposed to others.
To submit an exposure notification, select Notify others of a positive COVID-19 Test. To view other exposure notifications, select View Exposures.
QR Codes
Select the purple QR Code to view your QR Code or scan another.
Position the QR Code scanner over the desired code. Once the QR Code is read, the information will load.
Click My QR to view your assigned code and allow others to scan it.
You can add a post to the Community tab by selecting Add a post.
You will then be asked to choose a Channel, Group, Event, or Guide to post on.
On the Search tab, you can view Events, Groups, Buildings, Resources, People, Calendars, or Guides. Select Search and type in what you’d like to search for.
The Events page will show all upcoming and current events. Clicking attend for any event will add it to your Agenda.
Clicking on the Agenda tab will allow you to add and schedule events for the desired date and time.
On the Resources tab, you can view the GCU Campus Map, the Health and Wellness Center, and the Questions sections.
Using GCU Campus Map will assist you with navigating around campus.
Clicking the Health and Wellness Center app displays their contact number and allows you to contact them easily.

To access the Menu, click on the three lines in the top left-corner. In the Menu, you will see Profile, Notifications, Attendance, Event Tickets, Pathways, Guides, Groups, Campus Map, Calendars, Settings, App Help, and Sign Out.
Profile
Edit Profile: The information that you can edit in your profile will depend on the information that your school imports into the app. Anything that has been imported can only be changed by your school, anything else will be editable by you. Profile fields include:
- Profile picture
- Cover photo
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- About
Social Accounts: If you want to, you can link your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat accounts. These will be visible to other users in the app if you choose to link them.
Accounts: This is where you can connect your Google Account. If you do this, your Google Calendar will appear in your in-app agenda. If you make changes to events in your Google Calendar, these changes will also be reflected in your app agenda.

Attendance
Click here to view your attendance in campus events/clubs.
Event Tickets
Click here to view your tickets for events.
Pathways
Click here to view or enroll in different pathways for students.
Guides
Click here to view your guides or add other guides to your profile.
Groups
Click here to view your groups or join another group.
Campus Map
Click here to view a map of GCU’s campus.
Calendars
Click here to view your calendars or other calendars for different organizations at GCU.
Settings
Below is an explanation of all settings on the settings page. You can access this page from any tab in the app – simply tap your profile picture and then tap settings.
Change Password: This enables you to change your password for the app if you are not logging in with your school credentials.
Welcome Survey: The first time you signed up for the app, you were asked to complete a welcome survey. You can change or update your answers to those questions here.
Invisible Mode: If you switch Invisible Mode on, your profile will not be visible to other users in the app. Your profile will be hidden from any group you have joined, event you’ve RSVPd to, and other users will not be able to search for you in the app to connect with you. Please note: if you make a comment in any discussion or channel, your name will be visible in association with the comment, regardless of Invisible Mode status.
Time Zone Override: All event times are displayed according to your phone’s current time. Enable Time Zone Override to display event times according to your app settings.
Background Refresh: Set how often your app should refresh and fetch new data. Default is set to the maximum, 2 hours.
Contact Me: Under contact me, you have two options for your contact settings:
- My Connections: Only your connections can message you.
- Everyone: Anyone in the app can message you, regardless of connection.
Notification Preferences: Here, you can determine which campus discussions for which you receive push notifications and for which groups you receive push notifications.
