Please be aware that in compliance with GCU’s Learning Management System Availability policy that students are not guaranteed access to courses for more than five (5) weeks following the course end date. We encourage you to keep copies of all files uploaded to your online classrooms and save any course materials and eBooks to a personal computer prior to the end of each course.
If you would like to log in and save some of your previous work, here are some important steps to follow.
Locating and Saving Discussion Question Responses
After logging into your course, start by hovering over the Connect tab and choose Class Forums.
Click Main Forum.
Here you will find a list of all Discussion Questions from your course. Choose the Discussion Question you would like to enter by clicking the link.
Once inside of your Discussion Question, highlight the question by holding down your left mouse button and dragging over the question.
After the text is highlighted, you can copy the question by holding ctrl and pressing C on your keyboard or by right-clicking and selecting Copy. Finally, paste the question into a Word document by holding ctrl and pressing V on your keyboard or by right-clicking and selecting Paste.
Now that you have copied the question, scroll down to locate your response. Click the respective link to your answer, then copy and paste your response into the same Word document.
Repeat these steps to save any Discussion Questions you would like from your previous courses!
Locating and Saving Assignments
After the course ends, assignments may no longer show up on the Calendar. To locate and save previous assignments in your course, start by hovering over the Course tab and select Syllabus.
Links to the various course materials and resources are embedded directly into the Syllabus. You can locate your previous assignments by expanding each Week one-by-one by selecting the plus symbol next to the week number or by selecting the down arrow to the right of the dates. You can also expand all of the weeks by selecting Expand All in the upper-left corner.
After expanding a respective Week, locate the assignment. Click on the assignment's name to open the Assignment Details page.
Once inside of the Assignment Details page, click on the link under the Title heading to begin downloading the assignment. Repeat these steps to save any previous assignment.
Locating and Saving eBooks
Once you are logged into your course, hover over the Course tab and click Course Material.
The page will initially land on the Task tab and may be blank, but don’t be alarmed! Simply click the Study Material tab and your course materials will appear.
Click on the link for the Textbook.
Next, click on the URL to visit the Digital Resources page.
Finally, click on the PDF icon to begin downloading the PDF version of your eBook. You can also click on the globe icon and bookmark the Web Viewer version of the eBook for quick access. If you find that your eBook is in a Webbook format, review how to download Webbooks Published by GCU.
Switching Between Courses
At the top of the LoudCloud page, there is drop-down menu that allows you to easily switch from one course to another. The menu is located to the right of your profile picture and name.
To switch courses, click on the menu and select the course you would like to enter. That’s it! The page will refresh and the selected course will appear. You can also click on the Home tab to return to the LoudCloud landing page.
