Pageburst/Evolve eBooks is an electronic library of selected textbooks. All required GCU Health Sciences eBooks are accessible via online access through Evolve (http://evolve.elsevier.com). Here is a list of some common questions and their answers related to Evolve/Pageburst!
First, confirm that you have already created an account. You can check for the original account creation email that was sent to the address that was used to create your account. If you are unable to access this email, click the Need help logging in? option and input your First and Last name, and the username or email that was used in the account creation process. This will generate an email with the account information.
Access codes for Evolve/Pageburst eBooks are located in your GCU email. You can access your GCU email by logging into your student portal and clicking on the email link in the top left-hand corner or logging in directly at outlook.office.com. If you are unable to locate the code within your GCU email, contact your Student Services Counselor for further assistance.
- After logging in, click Catalog located at the top of the page.
- Enter your access code in the section titled Redeem an Access Code or Enter an Evolve Course ID and click Submit.
If you receive this error, contact Elsevier to obtain a new code. They can be reached at 800-222-9570

Once logged in, under My Evolve, click Go to VitalSource library.
This will take you to your VitalSource Bookshelf. Selecting a title will open the eBook in the browser.
For offline use, you can download the VitalSource Bookshelf. Once logged in, under My Evolve, click Go to VitalSource library.
This will direct you to your VitalSource Bookshelf. Click the Account icon to the right of Manage located in the upper right-hand corner. Then choose Support.
This will direct you to the VitalSource support page where you can click Download Bookshelf to choose the appropriate download for your device.
Once the installation is completed, the program will be located on your desktop.
