Before beginning the password registration and reset process, you should locate the New Student Account email from technical.support@gcu.edu to obtain your username and password. This email is automatically sent when your account is created.
Once you have the email available, navigate to https://reset.gcu.edu/, select Register my Account.
Next, click I am a Student.
Enter your username (without @my.gcu.edu) and password and click Log In.
NOTE If your password is entered incorrectly three (3) times, your account will be locked for one (1) hour.
After logging in, you will be provided with a list of security questions. You must enter at least three (3) answers to continue. These are not case-sensitive. Select a question of your choice by placing a check in the box next to the question. Once finished, click Save Q&A.
NOTE Your security questions and answers will help to identify you when you reset your password. Keep in mind that the answers require a minimum of (3) characters and accept spaces as characters.
Next, you will create a numeric PIN that will be used to reset your password. The PIN must contain at least 4 numbers (letters are not accepted). Once you have entered a PIN, click Submit.
You will receive a message confirming your account registration. Once the registration is complete, select click here to reset your password.

Re-Registering for Password Reset
If you are having issues with remembering your PIN number and security questions, you have the option to re-register your account for a password reset.
Start by navigating to https://reset.gcu.edu and select Register My Account.
Next, click I am a Student.
After clicking I am a Student, you will be able to enter your username (without @my.gcu.edu) and password, then click Log In.
You will then receive the following error message: You are already registered. Select Re-Register to continue.
Next, you will set up security questions by answering three (3) questions of your choice; you must check the box next to each question before answering it. Your security questions and answers will help to identify you when you reset your password. Keep in mind that the answers require a minimum of three (3) characters and accept spaces as characters. Once finished, click Save Q&A.
Once your security questions have been saved, you will create a numeric PIN that will be used to reset your password. The PIN must contain at least 4 numbers (letters are not accepted). Once you have entered a PIN, click Submit.
Once the registration is complete, select click here to reset your password.
