Throughout your studies at Grand Canyon University, you will participate in a wide range of group projects known as Collaborative Learning Communities, or CLC. These groups function differently depending on the LoudCloud platform you are using.
Online students will have groups created for them by their instructor.
Your CLC group forum can be accessed by navigating to the Tasks tab, and then selecting Forums.
Click your CLC Group from the list of options. Your specific group name may differ from what is shown below.
This is where your group can communicate privately and discuss the various projects you have been assigned. Utilizing this forum is similar to the individual forum and questions to instructor forum. You will want to create a New Topic.
Enter a Title, Description, and click Submit.
You can respond through the forum by selecting any topic from the forum.
Click reply to respond to the forum.
Once you have completed your assignment, one person will upload and submit the attempt. Once one person submits the assignment, it will close the dropbox for all students in the group.
For instructions on how to submit a CLC assignment in the online LoudCloud platform, check out Submitting Your Assignment to LoudCloud.
New LoudCloud (LMS)
To complete CLC assignments in the new version of LoudCloud, your instructor will first need to place you in a CLC group with a few of your classmates.
Once you are a member of a CLC Group, you will gain access to a team specific forum for you to discuss and collaborate on the assignment. On the CLC Assignment Details page, click on the Group Forum button located in the upper right-hand corner.
Your team specific forum will appear below the assignment details. Only members of your CLC group and your instructor can see any responses within. To start a conversation, click the Add a Post button or simply click on a classmate’s post and click Reply.
